April 28, 2016: Symbiosis: Art, Science and Community

Welcome to Symbiosis: Art, Science and Community! This exhibit is a joint effort of students from the class Critical Disability Studies: Theory and Practice and artists from Center for Creative Works (http://www.centerforcreativeworks.org/). We will present various types of artworks from our semester-long collaborative project, ranging from bio art to woodworking to fiber art and more. During the event, you will have the opportunity to learn about artworks from the artists themselves, hear about experience of collaborating with artists with developmental disabilities, and discuss about topics such as accessibility, disability gain, intersection of arts and sciences, and more. We would like to create a space for all kinds of bodies and minds. If you would like to have accommodations or offer suggestions on how to make the exhibit better, contact ChuHui Fu, Hannah Kim, Niki Barker or Courtney Lynne. We hope to see you there!
